A Luxurious Hidden Gem Estate Wedding | Mankin Mansion | Kristen + James

If you are searching for a luxurious estate for your wedding, look no further than Mankin Mansion located in Richmond, Virginia. Picture a grand mansion framed by an abundance of beautiful blooms, manicured lawns, historic charm, and an amazing wedding team that has you covered!

Everywhere you look is a photo op; making it a photographer’s dream venue! Even though it is located in the city, it is very secluded and is dedicated to your whole wedding day. There are beautiful getting ready spaces, an indoor and outdoor ceremony space, an outdoor patio for cocktail hour, and a grand pavilion tent for the reception.

Below, I am featuring Kristen and James’s spring wedding at Mankin Mansion. I like to tell my couples that no wedding can go exactly as planned; however, from the beginning of the day until the very end, everything was perfection! Keep scrolling to take a look into K + J’s beautiful wedding day.

The Ceremony

Kristen and James’s wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful Italian Gardens. There is a large brick aisle to walk down and not to mention you get to drive up and make your grand entrance in an Aston Martin!

Mankin Mansion has so many spaces and unique opportunities for photos. I could spend hours taking couple portraits here because there are just too many beautiful spots! We were able to cover a lot of ground during K + J’s couple portrait time. We took some photos in the Mansion, maze, along the brick pathways, and on the lawn in front of the Mansion (one of my favorite spots).

Cocktail Hour + Reception

During cocktail hour, guests can get a drink from the pergola bar and enjoy being outside amidst a picturesque background. Couples can make their grand entrance and have their first dance on the patio while being surrounded by their guests. There is nothing quite like it!

The reception is held in a climate-controlled luxury tent decorated with chandeliers, a checkered dance floor, chiavari chairs, french doors, and uplighting. There is so much the space has to offer and your guests will be ready to celebrate!
